Whole of Government Solutions

What we do. MPRI offers multi-disciplinary, interagency, “whole of government”  programs to the U.S. Government and to selected international customers that address the entire spectrum of capacity building requirements.  MPRI’s long-established reputation in security sector reform, our extensive public health work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health institutions, our comprehensive programs in law enforcement and rule of law are all now joined by the newest member of the MPRI family – International Resources Group (IRG).  As one of USAID’s most respected implementers, IRG has deep and proven competencies in agriculture, clean energy, natural resources management,  the environment, disaster relief and reconstruction, and community development.  These competencies and experiences complement MPRI’s array of offerings,  creating cutting-edge, integrated “whole of government” capabilities to support overall US national security strategy goals and objectives.

How we do it. Successful “whole of government” programs depend upon a solid foundational methodology, multi-disciplinary teams that are instantly available, and a careful mission analysis that tailors our programs to the specific requirements in specific environments. Key program components include:

  • A proven methodology for Institutional Capacity Building that ensures commonality across divergent institutions.
  •
  • “Smart Power” capabilities that integrate development, defense and diplomacy in response to the demands of Stability Operations and Reconstruction and Stabilization.
  •
  • Long-term project plans in public health,  infrastructure and economic development, supported when necessary by programs to build local security.
  •
  • The development of transparent and corruption-resistant systems, policies and processes in host governments.
  •
  • Integrated, multi-disciplinary training programs for U.S. agencies, departments and individuals who are deploying into combat zones, post-conflict environments and fragile or failing states.
  •
  • “Whole of government” emergency management and knowledge management systems.
