Although a laser aiming device can be a useful training aid, it suffers from the disadvantage that the laser beam remains constant before, during, and after the trigger squeeze. It is therefore very difficult to determine precisely where a round would impact based on the movement of the laser dot at the instant the hammer drops. Fortunately, MPRI has solved this problem with its ingenious BEAMHIT training device.

BEAMHIT has a battery-powered insert that fits into the bore of a handgun and emits an instantaneous, focused beam of light when the gun is dry fired. Since this light is activated only at the instant the hammer drops, the spot where the light appears on the target is the exact spot where a live round would have impacted.

The BEAMHIT products can be used with virtually any target that will allow the flash of light to be seen; however it is most effective when used with the company's special target system.
