L-3 MPRI Wins ID/IQ Contract Position to Support the U.S. Army’s Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., November 14, 2011 – L-3 MPRI, a global provider of integrated training solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a contract to support the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command’s (TRADOC) Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE). The company will assist the MCoE in providing training, doctrine and capability development support, as well as training instruction and simulations and analysis support and staffing services for the current and future force. L-3 MPRI is one of several contractors selected to compete for tasks as part of this indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract, which has a potential value of $485 million over five years, if all options are exercised.

“We have a quality team comprised of both small and large businesses ready to assist MCoE in the accomplishment of its mission to train and develop the maneuver force,” said Doug Fouser, senior vice president and general manager of L-3 MPRI’s Military Services Group. “We believe these alliances, as well as our understanding of the global threat and the battlefield environment our warfighters face, will make a difference in preparing leaders and soldiers for the new challenges and demands they’ll encounter today and tomorrow.”

Located at Fort Benning, Ga., the MCoE is a military entity created as a direct result of the 2005 Army Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Commission’s decision to consolidate a number of schools and installations to produce “Centers of Excellence.” The MCoE merges the training efforts of the U.S. Army Infantry Center located at Fort Benning, Ga., with the U.S. Army Armor Center at Fort Knox, Ky.
